Construction of a school in Muhang
This project was born from a request from father Bahati Vambesa, the Director of the secondary school Vulinda. He asked us, the construction of a school Finance, for which he was just appointed Director had been.
The Vulinda secondary school is located in the Catholic parish of Muhangi – the home Church of our project. The aim is to enable children and young people reliable access to education.
Working with parents: help for self-help
Because of the limited financial resources were available, we teamed up with father Vambesa developed a solution: cooperation with the parents of the students, to building material itself.
To Amani Project e. V. two machines for the manufacture of bricks purchased. With great effort and have the parents of 90,000 bricks for the construction of the first buildings to be pressed.
Next steps in the project
Before it can be built, the bricks are burned in order to firmly and permanently usable. After that, the construction of the first school building begins.
